When discussing the threat posed by Russia to the Dnipropetrovsk region and Zaporizhzhia, we are talking not about "several months," but rather "several weeks."
This was stated by military-civilian analyst, ATO veteran, and former commander of the assault company of the "Aidar" battalion, Yevhen Dykyi, in a broadcast on Radio NV.
The military expert noted that just before, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported on the construction of fortifications in the Zaporizhzhia area and its nearby settlements.
"We are nearing the third year of the war, and the city of Zaporizhzhia, which the orcs did not reach in '22 when they were advancing everywhere, is now digging fortifications around itself. But the head of the regional administration reported on the fortifications; it’s his job to dig them, and he has done that, but it may well be that there will be no one to sit in them," Yevhen Dykyi stated.
According to the military expert, knowing the actual number of our fighters at the front and the ratio with enemy forces, it is surprising how slowly our front has receded and how it has not yet collapsed. In reality, a breakthrough could occur at any moment.
"The question of several months is whether they will once again knock on the doors of Kyiv, Kharkiv, and stand by the Dnipro River. But the question of whether fighting will begin in the Dnipropetrovsk region and whether battles for Zaporizhzhia will commence – that’s a matter of the next few weeks, possibly even before the New Year," Yevhen Dykyi emphasized.
