On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian occupation forces continue their offensive actions to encircle the defense area of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Pokrovsk and the adjacent territories from the southwest and west.
Additionally, the enemy is attempting to break through to the Pokrovsk – Bakhmut highway in the section between Malinovka and Nova Poltavka. This was reported by military analyst, coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, and retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Konstantin Mashovets.
According to the expert, advanced enemy units managed to break through to the Pokrovsk – Mezhova road and took control of a section between the villages of Kotlino and Udachne. Meanwhile, the enemy's intense offensive actions in the directions of Zelenoe – Chunishin, Dachenka – Chunishin, as well as Nikolaevka – Mirnograd, have not yielded results.
It is also reported that Russian occupation forces have succeeded in capturing Novovasylivka and reaching the eastern outskirts of the village of Uspenivka.
Konstantin Mashovets noted that the pace of the occupiers' advance in these directions is relatively slow, with an average advancement of 0.8 – 1.2 km over 5 days, despite their significant numerical advantage in personnel, artillery, and air support.
In the expert's opinion, the command of the enemy's "Center" grouping will soon have to significantly increase efforts in the "main strike direction" to the south and southwest of Pokrovsk.
