Russians have repeatedly shelled Kharkiv with various types of weaponry, resulting in extensive destruction, numerous injuries, and casualties - the evening of October 30 was no exception.
On the evening of October 30, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Local authorities confirmed that a multi-story building was hit, with several floors destroyed. Search efforts for people trapped under the rubble are ongoing.

Spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, Dmitry Chubenko, reported that preliminary data suggests two people likely died as a result of the strike on a residential building in the Saltivka district. He noted that parts of bodies are visible under the rubble, but no signs of life have been detected.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synehubov, mentioned that emergency services are working to rescue those affected. However, the rescue efforts are complicated by significant destruction caused by the Russian attack, as well as the risk of the building collapsing.

As a result of the strike by Russian forces on the residential building, a boy who had turned 11 in September was killed. A 15-year-old teenager is also trapped under the debris, reported Oleg Synehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration. The official added that the rescue operation is ongoing.

Victor Zabashta, director of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Assistance, told "Public" that a child was found under the rubble with severe head injuries and fractures, who unfortunately showed no signs of life. Resuscitation efforts lasted for 40 minutes, but they were unable to save the child.

According to information from the State Emergency Service, there are currently 29 reported injuries, with 3 individuals rescued. Rescuers also reported that fires on the 3rd, 5th, and 9th floors, as well as in a vehicle, have been extinguished over a total area of 80 square meters.
