During the past day, occupants conducted 68 shellings of border territories and settlements in the Sumy region.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
A total of 143 explosions were recorded: the shellings affected the communities of Sumy, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Myropil, Krasnopillia, Velykopysarivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, Shostka, and Seredyno-Buda.
In Sumy, a children's health center caught fire due to the shelling.
On the evening of January 12, the enemy struck Sumy, igniting fires in residential areas and at the children's health center.
According to the State Emergency Service in the Sumy region, rescuers had to respond simultaneously at several locations.
"The sources of the fires have been extinguished. The areas that were targeted have been inspected," the report states.
Preliminarily, there were no casualties reported as a result of the shelling.
Earlier, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on the night of January 13, the Russian Federation launched 110 strike drones of the "Shahed" type and mimicry drones against Ukraine.
As a result, Ukrainian air defense destroyed 78 UAVs across twelve regions of Ukraine.
As stated in a Telegram message by the acting head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, debris from the targets damaged four private homes, a dormitory, and a medical facility in Kyiv region on the night of January 13.
"The damages are minor: windows were shattered and facades were scarred. Three vehicles and an emergency medical service vehicle were also damaged," the report indicates.
