The situation in the Kursk region is indeed quite dire, and currently, the Russian occupying forces are attempting to push us out of there at any cost.
This was reported by political scientist and serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kirill Sazonov, whose brigade has been fighting in the Kursk region since the beginning of this operation, in an interview with Anastasia Fedor.
According to the military, there is logic in the fact that the occupiers hope to expel us from Kursk by January 20, coinciding with Trump's inauguration. As long as the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain in the Kursk region, they pose a significant problem for Putin, as this greatly influences Russia's position for potential negotiations.
Kirill Sazonov noted that the Russian command immediately deployed highly mobile units to Kursk, including their elite forces, naval infantry, and paratroopers.
"And now we know that they were preparing a large offensive in Zaporizhzhia, with the striking force of this offensive being the 76th Air Assault Division, which is large, well-equipped, and probably the best that Russia has. It fought in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia and was preparing for the offensive. Now the 76th has been redeployed here to Kursk for a week because they are struggling," – stated Kirill Sazonov.
The serviceman reminded that when we were advancing in Kursk, estimates showed that the Russians were losing three times more personnel than we were, and now, as we hold the defense, Russian war correspondents are reporting losses of 1:5.
