On the morning of December 13, Kharkiv also came under Russian shelling, with explosions echoing throughout the city and strikes hitting the suburbs.
The Ukrainian Air Forces reported the use of ballistic weaponry.
The attack was confirmed by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, and the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synehubov.
Terekhov also noted that the strikes targeted the suburbs, and explosions were also recorded in the Chuhuiv area.
"The enemy struck the Kharkiv region. Details are being established. Emergency services have been dispatched to the scene," the statement reads.
The enemy launched a drone strike on a residential building in Kharkiv, as reported by the State Emergency Service.
The hostile drone hit the roof of a five-story building, igniting a fire, damaging the roof, and shattering windows.
Rescuers quickly extinguished the blaze, and at the moment, there is no information regarding casualties or injuries.
Notably, the Ivano-Frankivsk region experienced the most massive attack since the beginning of the full-scale war, as reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration.
The enemy employed strike drones and cruise missiles, attempting to target critical infrastructure facilities, resulting in hits.
As of the morning of December 13, fortunately, there were no casualties, and air defense forces were active in the region.
