On the night of January 31, the enemy army launched an attack on Ukraine using 102 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones.
The air defense forces destroyed 59 drones, and 37 aerial targets were lost to radar detection, reports the Air Force Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
As of 09:00, the confirmed losses include 59 strike UAVs of the Shahed type and drones of other types.
As a result of the enemy attack, the Sumy region, Odesa region, and Cherkasy region were affected. In Cherkasy, a fire broke out due to the debris from the UAV.
The Cherkasy region was targeted by Russian "Shahed" drones on January 31, with reports of damage resulting from falling debris.
This was reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets.
From night until morning, air alerts continued in the Cherkasy region due to the enemy's drone attack. Preliminary data indicates that six drones were destroyed in the sky over Cherkasy.
Fortunately, there were no severe consequences, but in Cherkasy, the debris from the "Shahed" damaged a balcony in one of the apartments of a high-rise building, where a fire broke out, which has already been extinguished.
Law enforcement officials have seized the drone debris and the warhead.
"Fortunately, the residents are all fine — they did not require medical assistance," — reported the head of the Regional Military Administration.
