Ukrposhta has unveiled a new postal release titled "ART vs WAR. James Colomina."

Укрпошта представила новый почтовый выпуск «ART vs WAR. James Colomina».

The press service of Ukrposhta wrote that art cannot exist outside of politics when it involves total war. A politics of pain, loss, mass crimes, terror, and torture.

“In such times, artists must make a choice. The choice of French sculptor James Colomina was to not remain silent. This is why crimson works like ‘The Messenger,’ ‘The Dove,’ and ‘Girl on the Swing’ emerged in Kyiv, stirring the media landscape and highlighting the absurdity and brutality of this war,” the statement reads. “We could not stand aside, so we captured them in a new postal release ‘ART vs WAR. James Colomina’ to mark the 11th anniversary of resistance against Russian aggression. So the world can see. And not forget. In fact, we will not let it forget.”

You can pre-order the new release now at postmark.ukrposhta.ua. And on February 24, it will be available for purchase at post offices and philatelic shops.
