This was discussed in Valery Savchuk's author program "Different People".

According to the guest of the program, the risk of escalation between Iran and Israel is currently at 100%. He also recalls that at a meeting of Israel's Security Cabinet, decisions were made on how to respond to missile attacks, and the Minister of Defense promised a devastating strike, though not the kind Iran expects.

“In other words, there are a million options. Now an incredible field of possibilities has opened up for Israel regarding what can be done with Iran; you can just pick and choose, it’s so tempting that you don’t even know what to select. Israel's capabilities in terms of countering Iran are currently limitless,” emphasizes Mikhail Sheitelman.

If we look back a bit, he recounts, this spring Israel struck the Iranian embassy in Syria, killing Iranians and Iranian generals, and for that, Iran retaliated, resulting in a 1:1 situation where everything calmed down. Now Israel has targeted "Hezbollah," killing its leader and all of his deputies, but all these individuals are not Iranians; they are all Lebanese citizens. However, Iran has intervened, and now it's not a 1:1 scenario. Therefore, the program guest asserts that a strike against Iran is 100% inevitable.

“And Iran will have to respond, which is where the escalation occurs. Does Iran want to go to war with Israel? I think not. Well, fundamentally, what for? To lose everything they have? Even if they were to lose all their oil exports? That would lead to poverty for the country. To lose their nuclear facility? Then what would they threaten with at all?” concludes Mikhail Sheitelman.
