This decision sparked rapid growth in the Ukrainian business sector within the country. Since spring 2022, the number of new enterprises established by Ukrainians has significantly increased.
In the first quarter of 2022, according to data from the Polish Economic Institute, Ukrainians founded approximately 700 individual enterprises (analogous to sole proprietorships). In April, this number rose to 847, surpassing the figures from the previous three months. In May, Ukrainians registered 1240 enterprises, in June — 1448, in July — 1767, and in August — already 1955.
The highest figure in 2022 was recorded in September — 2271 enterprises. Subsequently, the numbers remained high: in October, 2110 sole proprietorships were registered, in November — 1940, and in December — 1648.
