The National Bank announced this in its Telegram.
“The use of this image for our coins has already become a tradition. This is quite understandable,” writes the NBU. “The Archangel Michael is regarded by Ukrainians as the patron of the victors who fight for a righteous cause. The image of this saint is present in the insignia of the Ukrainian forces and symbolizes the struggle against evil. Therefore, the coins dedicated to the Archangel Michael are increasingly popular among numismatics enthusiasts year after year.”
The coin has a denomination of 10 hryvnias and is made of 999 silver.
The obverse features a stylized laurel wreath against the backdrop of the MM-14 pattern (“Camouflage Pattern 2014,” also known by the unofficial names “Pixel” and “Ukrainian Pixel”), symbolizing glory and victory.
