The measures for currency liberalization, effective from December 21, pertain to several areas.
Firstly, the ban on transactions involving banking metals has been eased, taking into account the appeals from the business community and analyzing the potential impact of this decision on the currency market. From now on, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs will be able to buy and sell banking metals without physical delivery for cashless hryvnias.
Starting December 21, businesses will be able to conduct such transactions under the following conditions:
- the transaction is justified by the needs of production activities (particularly for companies involved in jewelry manufacturing);
- the companies or entrepreneurs were engaged in jewelry production prior to the onset of the full-scale invasion, which is confirmed by relevant documents.
These changes will contribute to the stable operation of Ukrainian manufacturers in the jewelry sector, reduce imports of finished products, and decrease production costs by allowing the direct procurement of raw materials.
