This was announced by the chairman of the Committee on Financial Issues of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Daniil Hetmantsev, in his Telegram.
In 2024, the number of bank branches in Ukraine decreased by 127 units, representing a 2.5% reduction compared to the previous year. The most significant cuts were seen in the networks of the following banks: Oschadbank (-32 branches), PrivatBank (-25), and Credit Agricole (-14).
Despite the reduction, Oschadbank remained the market leader in terms of the number of structural units. In 2024, its network comprised 1150 branches. Together with PrivatBank, which had 1107 branches, these two banks accounted for 45% of the entire network of bank branches in the country.
At the same time, every fifth bank was expanding its network by opening new branches. The most significant growth was recorded at Accord Bank, which added 6 new branches to its network in 2024.
