Reasons for Suspension of Pension Payments
According to the Law of Ukraine "On Mandatory State Pension Insurance," pension payments may be suspended in the following cases:
- if the pension was granted based on documents containing false information;
- when relocating for permanent residence abroad, unless otherwise stipulated by an international treaty of Ukraine;
- if the pension is not collected through a postal service for six consecutive months;
- if an individual receiving a disability pension is not recognized as such following a reevaluation;
- if individuals receiving a pension for years of service are employed in a position that provides a similar entitlement to payment;
- in other cases stipulated by law, such as when children receiving a pension due to loss of a breadwinner complete their education.
Additionally, the Pension Fund ceases pension payments if the bank is removed from the list of authorized financial institutions.
