The company Postmen conducted a nationwide online survey in December 2024, revealing that 56% of Ukrainians experienced a decrease in income over the past year. Notably, one-third of respondents reported that their income had "significantly decreased."
The situation regarding expenses is even more challenging — 41% of respondents indicated that their expenses had "significantly increased," which is a 6% rise compared to the previous year. Overall, 67% of those surveyed reported an increase in their expenses.
The tough economic climate has also impacted savings. 34.5% of citizens have no savings at all, which is a 4% increase from last year. Among those with savings, most have only modest amounts — 27% stated their savings would last a maximum of one month, while another 25% said they could last up to six months.
