This was reported on Telegram by Daniil Getmantsev, the chairman of the parliamentary committee on financial issues, citing data from the State Statistics Service.

According to the state statistics agency, significant differences in price growth were recorded across different regions in 2024, with changes sometimes varying by more than three times, specifically:

  • food inflation was highest in Kyiv (17.6%, here and below until December 2023), and lowest in Zaporizhzhia region (11.5%);
  • clothing and footwear prices rose by 6.4% in Zhytomyr region, while they decreased by 11.2% in Kyiv;
  • utility prices increased the most in Kirovohrad region by 26.2%, and the least in Poltava by 14.2%;
  • household appliances and current housing maintenance costs rose by 6.3% in Kyiv, while they fell by 1.5% in Kherson region;
  • healthcare services experienced the highest increase in Lviv region (+17.9%), and the lowest in Chernihiv (+8.8%);
  • educational services increased by 19.6% in Kyiv region, while in Zhytomyr the growth rate was nearly three times lower (+7.1%);
  • transport services rose the most in Odesa region (+10.3%), while in Volyn they increased only by 3.3%.

“Overall, with consumer prices in Ukraine rising by 12% in 2024, the highest inflation was recorded in Kirovohrad region (+13.8%) and Kyiv (+13.5%), while the lowest was in Zaporizhzhia (+10.7%) and Kherson regions (+11.1%),” wrote Getmantsev.
