The demand for housing purchases from January to October 2024 has decreased by 3.1% compared to the same period in 2023, reaching 75% of the pre-war level of 2021. In the secondary market, the number of apartment sale listings increased by 5%, while the number of houses for sale rose by 8%, according to a study by OLX Real Estate.
The secondary market for buying/selling housing has still not reached pre-war levels due to depopulation, declining purchasing power, and uncertainty about the future, which is creating pent-up demand for purchases.
