Payments for IDPs Starting March 1, 2025
Beginning in March, internally displaced persons will continue to receive financial assistance for an additional six months. This was announced by the National Social Service of Ukraine.
Citizens who have already received payments do not need to submit additional applications — the financial aid will be extended automatically. The government explained that this decision is part of the "Winter Support" program, which provides comprehensive assistance to IDPs.
For those applying for the first time, there is an option to obtain an IDP certificate and submit an application for financial assistance through the Diya app.
If a family does not meet the criteria for receiving payments due to income levels, existing deposits, or additional property, eligibility for assistance can be confirmed through the CNAP or social protection authorities.
Housing Rent Subsidy for IDPs
Ukraine has implemented a mechanism for state support for displaced persons in the form of a housing rent subsidy. To apply for this, it is necessary to sign a rental agreement, which will protect IDPs from potential unlawful eviction or unjustified increases in living costs.
The state will also compensate the personal income tax, single tax, and military levy for landlords who officially rent their properties to displaced persons.
