NEC "Ukrenergo" has received its first large transformer for reactive power compensation from the World Bank for one of the 750 kV substations as part of the REPOWER project.
In a statement, Ukrenergo noted that the installation of this new powerful transformer reduces operational costs and provides a reliable power supply scheme for approximately 300,000 consumers.
“The arrival of this equipment at the start of the heating season is of paramount importance, as the new transformer will allow for increased electricity transmission during the seasonal surge in demand,” the company explained.
