The Unified State Register of Pets is an official database hosted on the Diia.Engine platform, which will store information about cats, dogs, and ferrets. The register will document:
- the name and description of the pet,
- vaccination and bio-sterilization data,
- contact information for owners or keepers,
- other vital information for the pet's health.
This register will enable the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Consumer Service to collect and analyze up-to-date data on the number of pets, their health status, and vaccination levels, which will contribute to more effective monitoring and care for animals.
“The Unified State Register of Pets is a step towards enhancing safety and fostering a responsible attitude towards pet ownership in Ukraine. For the first time in the history of independence, the state will obtain real data on the number of pets and will be able to monitor their vaccination status. This information is crucial for effectively reducing the risk of spreading dangerous infections, such as rabies,” said Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Denis Bashlyk.
