According to the directive, providers of electronic communication services are required to restrict access to the domain name kuna.io and its subdomains. This restriction will remain in effect until the state of martial law in Ukraine is lifted or canceled. This information is detailed in a document published on the State Special Communications website.
As reported by Forbes, the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) is investigating potential tax evasion by companies associated with the cryptocurrency exchange Kuna, which has led to the blocking of access.
“As part of the criminal proceedings, a forensic economic examination has been obtained, confirming intentional tax evasion,” the BEB press service stated.
The state may have incurred losses amounting to approximately 50 million UAH. This was disclosed to Forbes by a law enforcement officer familiar with the case, who wished to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the issue.
