Previously, we reported that in the upcoming year, the minimum pension will not increase as the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to freeze this figure until 2028. This is stated in the Budget Declaration for 2025-2027.
As a result, the minimum pension in Ukraine will remain at the 2024 level next year. Currently, non-working pensioners can receive a minimum pension of 2,725 UAH regardless of their work experience. However, the amount of these payments is influenced by age and length of service.
Nevertheless, pension indexing in 2025 may still take place. Preliminary estimates suggest that pension payments will increase by 10-12% in March, according to expert Lydia Tkachenko from the Institute of Demography and Social Research. Exact dates will be announced next year.
