Ukraine is set to reform its social insurance system. The primary aim of this process is to shift the system towards enhancing individuals' ability to work and improving their income.
This was shared by Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak. According to her forecasts, Parliament is expected to adopt the social insurance reform bill in July 2025, after which the implementation of new approaches will begin immediately.
The draft law prepared by the Ministry of Social Policy states that all social support tools for individuals should be considered as soon as doctors determine that treatment and rehabilitation will be prolonged. Therefore, to receive state support, such as insurance payments after 120 days of illness or services for care or prosthetics, a disability status will not be required.
