The population of Ukraine holds a significant amount of funds in banks, totaling 1 trillion 172 billion UAH. Of this total, demand deposits account for 763.2 billion UAH. This is stated in the data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
Traditionally, the largest amounts of money from Ukrainians are stored in state-owned PrivatBank (422.3 billion UAH) and Oschadbank (200.9 billion UAH). Rounding out the top three is the private Universal Bank (monobank) — 75.9 billion UAH.
