The general director of Ukrposhta, Igor Smelyansky, shared this during a telethon, as reported by UNN.
“Parcel lockers will be introduced! Initially in two cities — Kyiv and Odesa during the first quarter. We are preparing many innovations — including a new mobile application, next-day delivery, and the opening of a new international sorting center,” noted Smelyansky.
We also previously reported that starting January 1, 2025, Ukrposhta will implement new parcel delivery rates.
“For the first time in Ukrposhta's history (and likely in Ukraine's as well), we are eliminating rates that depend on weight. Yes — completely. Therefore, we will have 'weightless' rates. The rate will depend solely on volume. This is how it works for leaders in the global market, such as FedEx or UPS. Attention — not based on dimensional weight, but only on volume,” wrote Smelyansky.
