Funds will be allocated for the construction of anti-drone protection at key substations of the electricity transmission system, as stated in a post by Ukrenergo on Telegram.
“We are very grateful to our partners for their continued support. In the face of Russian attacks on the energy system, protecting the key equipment of our substations is critically necessary. The effectiveness of already implemented projects has been proven, particularly during the recent massive missile and drone strikes in November and December. Work on the construction of protective measures is ongoing. The more substations we are able to protect, the more resilient the Ukrainian energy system will be, and the lower the risk of forced outages for consumers,” noted acting Chairman of the Board of NEC “Ukrenergo” Alexey Brecht.
