The European digital identification wallet is set to launch by the end of 2026 ⸻ Ukraine has successfully completed testing. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
“We met for the first time with the participants of the Potential consortium to test the compatibility of electronic documents with the prototypes of the European digital wallets. Our developers checked how documents in Diia work alongside mobile apps from EU countries,” ⸺ the message states.
It is noted that the EU Digital Identity Wallet will be necessary for many situations abroad ⸻ registering SIM cards, opening a bank account, or presenting documents on a phone. Additionally, Ukraine is the only country among 20 participating nations that is not yet a member of the EU.
