This occurred after the bank was included in the U.S. sanctions list. This information is reported by the Ministry of Finance citing TASS and the Russian service "Radio Liberty."
As a result, cards from "Gazprombank" are no longer functional in ATMs located in Turkey, Germany, the UAE, Thailand, and Hungary. When attempting to withdraw cash, the ATMs display a message indicating a technical error or inform that the card is not supported.
Additionally, the option to apply for UnionPay cards has disappeared from the official website of "Gazprombank."
We remind you that on November 21, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury (OFAC) added "Gazprombank" to the sanctions list along with more than 50 other Russian banks, over 40 securities registrars, and 15 high-ranking officials in the Russian financial sector.
