The cryptocurrency portfolio of the financial giant has skyrocketed to an astonishing total value of $61.46 billion, with its largest assets consisting of BTC, Ethereum (ETH), and the stablecoin USDC.
Currently, BlackRock owns approximately 569,000 bitcoins, amounting to $57.75 billion.
Since the launch of its ETF, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), the asset management giant has consistently been purchasing the leading global cryptocurrency, increasing its holdings from 220 on January 6, 2024, to 552,000 by the last day of that year.
Since the beginning of 2025, BlackRock has acquired an additional 17,000 BTC, totaling $1.7 billion.
Despite some fluctuations in its balance—on January 9, BlackRock held 559,000 BTC, while on January 16, it had 554,000—the overall trajectory of the cryptocurrency under management has remained predominantly stable.
