As part of the monitoring activities aimed at identifying any signs of violations of legislation on protection against unfair competition by economic entities—producers/sellers/importers of water—the Committee discovered the natural mineral table water "Bon Boisson."
Upon reviewing the case, the Committee determined that JSC "Novomoskovsky Mineral Water Plant" disseminated misleading information to consumers. Specifically, the labels on the natural mineral table water "Bon Boisson" in 0.75 l and 1.5 l bottles (non-carbonated, lightly carbonated, and strongly carbonated) contained false claims such as: "the highest pH level* among natural waters in Ukraine speeds up metabolism, has a powerful antioxidant effect, and boosts immunity." Such information, along with its variations, was circulated on social media platforms Instagram and Facebook.
The Committee established that JSC "Novomoskovsky Mineral Water Plant" does not possess the results of relevant scientific research conducted on "Bon Boisson" water that would confirm the aforementioned claims regarding the properties of the product.
