RLUSD by Ripple Prepares for Broader Adoption
Currently, RLUSD is available (traded) on platforms such as Bitso, MoonPay, and CoinMina, with plans for addition on Bullish and MercadoBitcoin. In response to a question about its appearance on major U.S. exchanges like Coinbase, Long stated:
“We are continuing to expand the distribution and availability of Ripple dollars on other platforms. Therefore, I think we can expect more news and announcements soon.”
When asked about the timeline, she replied: “Soon.” Long emphasized the growing role of stablecoins in trading and payments, referring to them as “a gateway for entering and exiting cryptocurrencies.” According to her:
“If you look at the overall landscape of cryptocurrencies, it has certainly been evolving over the past few quarters. We believe this year will be significant for cryptocurrencies as a whole, and the demand for stablecoins will grow alongside it. Ripple US Dollar will play a key role.”
Since its launch on Ethereum and XRP Ledger in December, RLUSD has reached a market capitalization of around $53 million. Ripple has integrated Chainlink services into RLUSD to enhance its application in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, confirming Long’s vision for the widespread adoption of this tool.
