The enemy continues its attempts to cross the "Seversky Donets" river near the town of Chasiv Yar, and the attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces have not ceased, despite the stabilization of the front.
As reported by Yuriy Syrotyuk, the chief sergeant of the fire support company of the 5th Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in this section of the front, the enemy maintains a numerical superiority of 3 to 4 to 1.
"So far, they have not been able to advance, as our brigade is effectively counterattacking. We are constantly holding the defense, and the enemy attacks daily but cannot move further," the serviceman noted.
As a tactic, Russian troops are using small infantry groups, attempting to advance step by step. They send 2-3 infantrymen into battle, covered by ammunition drops and kamikaze drones.
"The enemy's goal is to secure themselves in captured buildings, which would allow them to gather forces for further advancement. Despite the lack of enemy progress, holding the positions comes at a heavy cost," Syrotyuk also remarked.
According to Syrotyuk, with the onset of autumn, when the leaves fall, the enemy significantly improves its observation capabilities, making the movement and supply of resources more difficult.
It is impossible to drive to the front; one can only walk there, with each step under enemy fire, and drones constantly monitor movements, the chief sergeant pointed out.
