The regulator has eased a number of currency restrictions to support international cooperation in external trade, as well as international projects and technical assistance programs. At the same time, the NBU has taken steps to strengthen compliance with these restrictions.
In particular, to minimize the risks of circumventing currency restrictions, a ban has been imposed on the use of foreign currency loans for the purchase of securities denominated in foreign currency. The changes also affect other areas.
