The activity of Russian occupiers on the Southern Front significantly increased at the end of 2024, and it is evident that it will remain very high at the beginning of 2025.
This was reported by Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman and national security expert Ivan Varchenko during a broadcast on the FREEДOM channel.
According to the expert, in the Kherson region, the occupiers are prepared to sacrifice thousands and tens of thousands of their soldiers to seize even the smallest territory on the right bank, allowing Putin to claim control over the right bank of Ukraine on the international stage.
The serviceman noted that another critical focus for the Russian occupying forces is the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is less than ten kilometers away from the enemy. The attempt to break through to Dnipropetrovsk is also a symbolic moment for the Russian command.
"These are symbolic things for which they are willing to pay a very high price, and this is important to them. Of course, the Ukrainian Defense Forces understand this as well and will not allow them to engage in even such symbolic games on the bones and corpses of their soldiers. Although there will certainly be many more bones and corpses, as we understand that they will be forced to push forward now, and they will have to emerge from their shelters to carry out offensive actions," Ivan Varchenko stated.
