The center's goal will be to develop a national AI strategy and stimulate the growth of Ukrainian AI startups by 50% annually, reports Forbes.
Daniel Tsyvok will lead this new initiative, having previously served as the product director at Metinvest Digital. He will take on the role of CIAO (Chief AI Officer). Dmitry Ovcharenko has been appointed as the CTO of the AI department; he previously headed the generative AI practice at the largest Ukrainian IT company, SoftServe.
The candidate selection process involved around 100 applicants — top executives from leading technology companies. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, during a press conference on February 4, 2025.
