A record number of participants—approximately 700 individuals—gathered in Kyiv on November 8. Among them were representatives of the government, thought leaders, and leading specialists from various industries. They met to exchange digital practices and discussed the implementation of electronic document circulation, digitization of HR processes, online contract signing, transitioning business processes to digital formats, the use of software cash registers, and the prospects of electronic waybills.
Oksana Ferchuk, advisor to the Patronage Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, opened the forum by discussing how the Ukrainian army is building a digital core for managing defense resources, while also reducing the number of paper processes and automating them:
“Imagine an enterprise with 800,000 people where digital tools have never been used. There are no data processing centers, networks, IT systems, or computers—nothing IT-related. Everything is on paper, and sometimes it's classified. But now, it has become a coordinated mechanism. During wartime, we don’t have the luxury of slow improvements. We are searching for and implementing digital tools that will lead to breakthroughs. They will provide Ukraine with the necessary advantage for victory and the construction of effective Defense Forces.”
Quick and easy agreement documentation is currently at the forefront of Ukrainian business. According to the consulting and auditing firm Deloitte, new digital approaches in operations can increase company profitability by 9% and efficiency by 7%.
“Simplifying one step in an existing business process can be harder than approaching changes in an ecosystem-wide manner. Transform the process from start to finish. From contract signing, making amendments, and approvals, to sending them for storage. Only in this way will it be easy and straightforward to digitize agreements and capture deals in just a few clicks,” noted Anton Skokov, head of digital services for businesses at ‘Vchasy’.
