Kyivstar activated a service the client didn't request and charged 150 hryvnias for it. Here's their response to the situation.

Клиенту подключили ненужную услугу и сняли 150 гривен. Киевстар прокомментировал ситуацию.

Kyivstar deducted 150 hryvnias from a customer's account for a service that was not requested. The operator was supposed to credit this amount as payment for the tariff. The relevant comment was made on February 19 under the company's publication.

The man explained that his mother uses the LOVE UA Freedom tariff. He topped up her account with 150 hryvnias ahead of time, but the tariff was not activated for her.

"Let me tell you what you did to my mother; she has a subscription to the LOVE UA Freedom tariff. On February 17, there was supposed to be another payment of 150 hryvnias for the tariff. On February 13, I topped up her account with 150 hryvnias in advance. On February 15, I received an SMS stating that we are granting you access to Kyivstar TV content at no additional charge until February 16 inclusive. On February 17, 150 hryvnias were deducted from the account for Kyivstar TV Family instead of the expected tariff payment. What do you call this? The customer was connected to a service that was not ordered and was charged for it. Refund the money; I disconnected the TV service on February 17. I logged into the My Kyivstar app, and the tariff payment date changed from February 17 to February 19. The deduction date for Kyivstar TV Family also changed from February 17 to February 14. Are you trying to cover your tracks?" - the man inquires.

Kyivstar's response to the man's complaint

Kyivstar responded to the man's complaint. They stated that the SMS mentioned free access to all TV channels for Valentine's Day, and the TV service had already been activated by the user of the number.

"Clearly, the SMS referred to free access to all TV channels for Valentine's Day, and the TV service had already been activated by the user of the number. The deduction date for the tariff shifts if there was not enough balance for payment at the scheduled time for 4 weeks," Kyivstar stated.
