According to Cointelegraph, a crypto trader known by the pseudonym qklpjeth recently reported significant financial losses due to a simple mistake. He intended to send assets (7912 ezETH) to a liquid restaking platform called Renzo but mistakenly used the wrong address. At that time, the value of the tokens exceeded $25 million. This error resulted in the funds being locked and inaccessible.
The investor explained that the mistake occurred due to copying the incorrect address, which led to this situation.
Although the incident happened nearly five months ago, qklpjeth only reached out for help from "white hat" hackers on the X platform on November 10, after traditional recovery methods proved unsuccessful. The investor hopes that someone may identify a vulnerability in the smart contract that would allow for the recovery of the lost funds. The cryptocurrency community responded by suggesting contacting the Renzo protocol to modify their token contract. However, qklpjeth has already reached out to Renzo, who was unable to assist due to regulatory constraints.
Urgent Request for Help!
To all skilled hackers and white hats out there: I’ve lost a significant sum of funds in a contract and urgently need help recovering it. If you can successfully retrieve the funds, I’ll immediately offer a 10% reward, which is approximately $2.5 million…
