It is noted that, at the request of the applicant, two credit unions and one insurance broker were removed from the registers. Additionally, one financial company was forcibly excluded.
Moreover, in January, two credit unions voluntarily had all their licenses revoked (based on their submitted applications). Simultaneously, the license of one financial company was revoked forcibly. The National Bank of Ukraine also approved the narrowing of the license scope for 16 financial companies. A specific type of financial service was forcibly removed from the license of 21 financial companies.
As of February 1, 2025, there were 478 financial companies operating in the non-banking financial services market (down from 479), 55 non-life insurers (unchanged), 10 life insurers (unchanged), one insurer with special status, 109 pawnshops (unchanged), 102 credit unions (down from 104), one leasing company (unchanged), 43 insurance brokers (down from 44), and 73 collection agencies (unchanged).
The number of banking groups in the market remained the same (15), as did the number of non-banking financial groups (40).
