From the registries, at the request of the applicant, one risk insurer and one life insurer, three credit unions, and one insurance broker have been excluded. Additionally, 11 financial companies, one risk insurer, two pawnshops, and one credit union were forcibly removed.
At the same time, one financial company, two insurance brokers, and two collection agencies have been added to the registries.
In December, 8 financial companies, 1 risk insurer, 1 life insurer, 1 pawnshop, and 3 credit unions voluntarily had all their licenses revoked (based on their submitted applications). Meanwhile, the licenses of 4 financial companies, 1 non-life insurer, 1 pawnshop, and 1 credit union were revoked forcefully. The National Bank of Ukraine also approved the narrowing of the license scope for 15 financial companies and the expansion of the license scope for one financial company.
14 financial companies experienced a forced exclusion of a specific type of financial service from their financial company license.
As of January 1, 2025, there were 479 financial companies operating in the non-banking financial services market (down from 489), 55 non-life insurers (down from 57), 10 life insurers (down from 11), one insurer with special status, 109 pawnshops (down from 111), 104 credit unions (down from 108), 1 leasing company (no change), 44 insurance brokers (up from 43), and 73 collection agencies (up from 71).
