From January to September 2024, over 2.7 billion payment transactions were carried out using credit transfers and direct debits, reports the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).
During this period, financial institutions conducted 1.2 million payment transactions via direct debit, totaling 27.26 billion UAH.
At the same time, payment transactions initiated through credit transfers are more common. Over the nine months, they were conducted:
- within Ukraine — 2,718.8 million transactions amounting to nearly 30,823 billion UAH;
- to Ukraine — 3.80 million transactions totaling $50.84 billion equivalent;
- from Ukraine — 0.92 million transactions totaling $54.82 billion equivalent.
