The "memory" feature has started to roll out for select users of Gemini. Similar to ChatGPT's memory, Gemini enhances the current conversation with context. For instance, if you ask Gemini to remember the dishes you enjoy, the next time you inquire about restaurant recommendations, it can tailor its suggestions to your culinary preferences.
The memory feature is available exclusively for subscribers of the Google One AI Premium plan, priced at $20 per month, and it has not yet been introduced in the Gemini apps on iOS and Android—only in the web client.
In the Gemini interface, Google provides a few examples of potentially useful reminders: “Use simple language and avoid jargon,” “I can only write code in JavaScript,” and “When planning a trip, consider the cost per day.”
