This is reported by the Ministry of Social Policy in its press release.
The "Warm Winter" initiative is being introduced as part of a comprehensive package of "Winter Support" for Ukrainian families.
This payment will be aimed at helping parents from low-income families, as well as families with children from the most vulnerable internally displaced persons (IDPs), to purchase warm clothing and footwear for their children for the winter. Considering that children grow quickly, it is necessary to regularly buy larger-sized clothing, and children's clothing often matches or exceeds the price of adult clothing and footwear, while families have very limited means to afford such purchases.
The Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine has developed a resolution, which has been supported by the Cabinet of Ministers, to provide additional assistance to vulnerable populations.
According to this resolution, in December 2024, low-income families with children and IDP families with children who receive housing assistance will receive a one-time cash aid of 6,500 UAH for each child under the age of 18.
