Google will automatically change user passwords in Chrome.

Google будет автоматически менять пароли пользователей в Chrome.

The feature was first noticed in a test build on the Chrome Canary channel by user X Leopeva64. In the new section titled "AI Innovations," there is now a settings menu for "Automatic Password Change," which states:

“If Chrome detects that one of your passwords has been compromised, it will suggest a replacement and add it to Google Password Manager.”

This development is a response from the company to the fact that password compromises have become a widespread and, unfortunately, common occurrence today. Cybercriminals seek to obtain your password to gain access to accounts, exploit confidential information, and ultimately profit from it.

Whether through phishing attacks, malware, hardware hacks, or even physical access to your device, your password is always in jeopardy. That’s why most cybersecurity experts recommend using password managers to create stronger credentials and store them securely. Google is no exception: the Chrome password manager is available to 3.5 billion users.
