The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Alexander Syrsky, recently visited the Kursk region, and there are currently no indications that Ukrainian troops will be withdrawn from there.
This information was shared by political scientist and serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Kirill Sazonov, whose brigade has been operating in the Kursk region since the beginning of this operation, during a broadcast on "Kyiv24".
The military reported that his 41st brigade is currently positioned in one of the most challenging areas, near the city of Sudzha, and is fighting against the 810th brigade of the Russian Marine Corps, which has received reinforcements in the form of North Korean troops.
According to the serviceman, the enemy in the Kursk region is using KABs and is demolishing everything, just like in the Donetsk region, where the occupiers are destroying their own settlements similarly to the Ukrainian cities of Soledar, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, or Uglidar.
"It's better for them to demolish in Kursk than in Sumy region. This is what our soldiers and commanders are all saying," emphasized Kirill Sazonov.
The serviceman also noted that according to the General Staff, in the Kursk region, Russia has lost over 20,000 personnel, and has concentrated approximately 55,000 troops in this direction, making the several thousand North Korean soldiers almost insignificant in comparison.
Kirill Sazonov also mentioned that the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region is a politically significant decision, as Ukrainian forces have been controlling Russian territories for three months now, and this should signal to Donald Trump that Russia indeed has no plan, they will not win the war, and that peace cannot be achieved on their terms.
