Russia has deployed an inadequate number of North Korean troops to reinforce its units, which could significantly alter the situation and assist the RF in pushing the Armed Forces of Ukraine out of the Kursk region.
This was stated by military expert, flight instructor, and retired colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Roman Svitan, in an interview with the Commander-in-Chief.
The military expert noted that the enemy command has transferred just over 10,000 North Korean soldiers to Russian training grounds, with only a portion, a few thousand, heading towards the Kursk direction.
"If there were up to 70,000 of them (Russian troops in the Kursk region – ed.), then even a 10% increase does not enhance the capabilities of the Russian forces," – declared Roman Svitan.
According to the expert, Russia faces several issues with the North Korean troops: firstly, they lack combat experience, and secondly, language barriers create problems in certain command and combat operations.
"From the perspective of conducting military operations, it will take them at least three months to adapt, so the participation of North Korean troops, for instance, in the Kursk operation can only be meaningfully assessed around spring, not earlier," – emphasized Roman Svitan.
The expert added that Russia is using North Korean soldiers in the same manner as thousands of recruits from around the world, as cannon fodder.
