The situation in the Chasiv Yar area is becoming increasingly tense as Russian troops actively expand their footholds on the western bank of the Seversky Donets-Donbass canal.
According to Ukrainian military journalist Bohdan Miroshnikov, these new areas to the south and north of Chasiv Yar have reached significant sizes - 3 and 3.5 km deep and 5-7 km wide.
This expansion allows Russian invaders to accumulate the necessary forces for an offensive on Konstantinovka. Miroshnikov emphasizes that achieving such results was not accomplished in a day, but is the outcome of prolonged months of fighting.
This indicates the serious efforts and resources that the Russians have invested in this operation. Over the past three weeks, there has been a continuous assault on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this strategic area. According to the journalist, the intensification of battles in this section of the front is inevitable.
The main objective of the invaders is to encircle Chasiv Yar and approach Konstantinovka, an important settlement in the region. Miroshnikov notes that Russian troops aim to create "clamps" around Ukrainian positions. It is observed that the enemy intends to advance along the strategic Bakhmut-Kostyantynivka route, intensifying their attacks from the south and north.
Currently, Ukrainian forces are focusing their efforts on holding their positions and preparing for potential attacks.
