The year 2025 could bring one of the largest smartphone design updates since the iPhone X in 2017. Rumor has it that Apple is planning to launch an entirely new iPhone 17 Air with a significantly thinner body, a new display size, an updated camera design, and other changes.
According to the latest rumors, Apple intends to unveil four iPhone models in 2025:
- iPhone 17;
- iPhone 17 Pro;
- iPhone 17 Pro Max;
- iPhone 17 Air.
It is expected that the Plus lineup will be discontinued due to its low popularity among users. The iPhone 17 Air will not serve as a direct replacement for the iPhone 17 Plus but will be introduced as a new option in the lineup.
Design and Display
The iPhone 17 Air will feature an ultra-thin design with a body thickness ranging from 5.5 mm to 6 mm, making it the thinnest iPhone to date. In comparison, the 16 Pro has a thickness of 8.25 mm. The device will sport a 6.6-inch display, fitting in size between the 17 and 17 Pro Max. It is anticipated that the rear camera will be centrally located with a horizontal protrusion, differing from the traditional placement in the upper left corner.
