According to the "2024 Billionaires Census" conducted by Altrata, the total net worth of the world's billionaires has increased by 9% to a record $12.1 trillion. At the same time, the number of billionaires rose by 4% to 3,323 individuals.
While there have been several reports this year indicating that billionaires are leaving their traditional residences due to political instability and changes in laws, Altrata's report suggests that a significant portion of the ultra-wealthy population remains in the same locations.
Twenty-eight percent of the global billionaire population resides in just 15 cities.
Among the regions experiencing growth in high-net-worth individuals are India, where the number of billionaires increased by 16%, and North America, which saw a rise of 9.9%.
