The largest South Korean news agency disseminated a statement from the Republic of Korea’s intelligence on Friday, December 27, confirming that the injured North Korean soldier was taken alive.
It is noted that the evening before, on December 26, messages accompanied by a photograph were released online, indicating that the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine likely captured the first North Korean soldier sent to fight on the side of Russia.
According to Yonhap News Agency, judging by media reports, this North Korean "warrior" likely sustained injuries. However, detailed information regarding his condition has not been specified.
